In Mathew 24 in the Bible it says that no one knows the day nor the hour of the second coming of Christ aka the end.  Well, except for the Omniscient Father, God.

Nice one Michka.  It also says He (Jesus) will come as a thief in the night. So the point is to be ready at all times. Otherwise, all one has to do is just wait till the hour before. BTW Ben, it seems to me that Witnesses have made predictions in the past as well. It seems to me that rather than trying to learn what is unknowable, it might be better concentrate on what is really important- spreading the Good News (Gospel).  Just my humble opinion as a sinful, fallen human.

I deserve that for sticking my head in a eco-theological discussion.  I'd say "Boys, the captain of this here ship really screwed us, didn't he?"  So I guess I'm going down with the ship or the planet unless the captain puts us on a different course if my votes or prayers are answered.

Certainly, and l repeat, that THE particular day is to come as a complete surprise to everyone and no man is to know when!    But Jehovah has given plenty of 'SIGNS' of what would be happening in the days 'leading up' to his undisclosed day!  WHY?  ( It is HE that is coming, by the way).

And whilst this 'DAY' IS unknowable, the signs leading up to that day ARE knowable...(read: 2 TIM. 3. for starters!)  Not to mention the ones in Mathew 24 that, with respect, neither you nor Mich seem to have taken into account!

Regarding your statement here honey,  I would not believe all that you hear if I were you sweetheart,.  (Read 1 Cor. 4: 12.)  the same applies to God's people today babe!

Given this scenario as being real and after you had picked your chin up from the deck! lol!  You know very well what your course of action would be bud!    You would possibley check on the very nearest lifeboat, but after that you would head down to us like a 'bat out of hell'...yes?
I'll bet you would clear four or even five stairs at a time, you would be in so great a hurry....yes?
